I have 9 years experience as the Office Manager for a Real Estate Appraisal firm. After moving with my husband for his career, I started working in the medical admin field at a hospital and two health clinics. I love the balance of working with patients/clients and office work.
I graduated with honors from NSCC with a diploma in Business Administration – Information Management. I love being the “go-to” person when staff need something done. I thrive on exceeding expectations and making everyone else’s job easier by doing what I do best.
I was the Office Manager for a busy Real Estate Appraisal firm for 9 years. I was responsible for all office duties including email, answering phones, faxing, photocopying, travel expenses and travel organization. I was responsible for preparing, proofreading and editing appraisal reports for banks, lawyers and personal clients. I absolutely loved my job and hated to leave when my husband was relocated for work.
I worked in two medical offices as well as front desk reception at a hospital. At one of the medical offices I worked alone with one Nurse Practitioner. I was solely responsible for all office duties including scheduling patients, preparing requisitions and filing reports appropriately. At the other medical office I worked with an admin team of 3 and shared responsibilities with my co-workers. At the hospital I was responsible for registering patients, entering blood test requests on the system as well as regular office duties. I loved working with the patients and getting to know them and their families.
